About Cookiie
Hmm..what can I say about Cookiie? It's pretty much a nickname I gave myself a while ago. Then I was planning to make a small doll fashion line with my friend Ella, and Milk & Cookiie™ was made. I guess I just fell in love with this name, and felt being creative with this name. The first extension of Cookiie is now Cookiie('s) Jar, but who know what it will be next month? Or rather.. 6 months? You never know, knowing myself being very lazy all the time. You'll just have to wait for that.
× Before Pixel Twist/Cookiie
It all started when I was sick of making my AsianAvenue. That's some sort of community website, where Asian people can make their own personal webpage and meet other Asians by sending a note and stuff. It's hard to believe, but the community is actually pretty big and still growing.
What I was saying is, I wanted something more than just a simple webpage. I wanted something more: a real website. Seeing that I had gained quite some html "skills", I thought that I was in capable of doing that, so I thought that it wouldn't be bad to give it a shot. Before I actually planning to do this, I used to be doing it by accident already for a bit because of a friend of mine, so how hard could it be?
I started at Lycos with the name 'Candybeams', which I find slightly amusing now. I think that you all understand now that I means 'Candybeans', but my english, or rather engrish, wasn't that good yet. I used to mix up a lot of things back then. I think even during the time of 'Pixel Twist', it was still pretty awful. I hope I'm not writing anything emberassing anymore now!
Because of the known pop-ups and adds, I moved to Brinkster while it was still new. Back then it was add free and stuff, so I thought, as naive as I was, it'd stay clean like that. I was wrong. Back then I started using the name 'Pixel Twist' for my own good sake, but I don't even think that I knew of my previous bad engrish name really. Oh well, I guess that it doesn't matter now.
I went on a huge hiatus when I was on Brinkster, then when I came back with a new layout, it was spammed with ads and stuff already. Being tired of looking for new free hosts again and again, I decided to get a personal one. Being a total noob, I had to find not only a nice host, but also one who's willing to teach me how to use FTP. I know some of you know of how easy it actually is, but it really isn't when you had never heard of FTP before at first. After a long while, I found Kara. Since then, I've never got to find another host. I've been having offers of friends lately asking if I need any web space, but I don't think that that's necessary for now. Being a part of 'Fallendown' (Fallen-down even back then) for so long now, I just don't see any reasons to stop. Unless I find myself really needing my own domain, I guess I'll be staying here. Kara is, a very nice host after all. <3
Well, as you can see, I've changed my website's name yet to a different one now, but I'm not planning to change it for another while. I find it quite sad too that I've only managed to update it twice until it actually died. Once again, I hope that I'll do it differently now, especially because I've been writing so damn much this time, it'd be a waste if I just let it die like this. Oh well, so far the "history" of my "career". You might now know, but history is getting longer and longer. ;3
× Random Credits
Err, yeah. I just put the credits here because I don't know where else to put it. It's probably very random and all, but I guess it's better than just claiming that I've done it all myself. Anyways, here goes:
Brushes × http://www.8nero.net, http://brushes.echoica.net and probably more. I'll be adding some more from time to time, whenever I uses some more off other sites. I thank these wonderful people who've made these things for me as well as other to use on personal purposes. <3
